Chocolate + Salt
Hi and welcome to my online bakery! Iโm Sloane, and I started Chocolate + Salt to showcase my love of baking and my love of what is (in my opinion) a deeply underrated flavor combination: chocolate, and salt. Chocolate is the clear fan favorite for bakersโ from the time I started baking I loved swirling it into cake batter to make my favorite birthday cake or into chocolate chip cookies. But salt has always been overlooked. In croissants and bread, salt controls the way they rise, in cookies it builds flavor, and in frosting it adds balance. No baked good would be the same without salt. Hence the name: a perfect marriage of the two.
